Bottom of the funnel leads are leads that are being cold called and also leads that were purchased online as opposed to those generated by organic search or directly through your site. To close them as customers, you will want to make sure that you don't over-sell to them. Make sure that your sales tools are tuned into what they need, either service or product wise. You want to spend as little time with prospects as possible and have a low attention span combined with a sense of urgency.

Bottom of the funnel (BOF) leads are sales leads that fall into your marketing funnel at the bottom, mainly because they have not had a chance to become qualified leads. They are hot prospects that you should never let slip away, but it will take your sales team more time and energy to close them than it would if they were already qualified . Your company may spend a lot of time, effort, and money into acquiring BOF leads. 

Bottom of the Funnel (BOFU) leads are people that have visited your website or downloaded a file from you, attended a webinar, completed a white paper download, requested additional information, requested to be added to a mailing list, requested additional service, etc... That is leads that have completed your funnel for you.
